Calendar Competition
Members of The Scottish Photographic Circle.

All the information required is included.
The theme is “Pure Glasgow” and you are free to make your own personal interpretation of this. (Should be interesting)
All entries have to be with the gallery by the 18th August 2008

Dear Exhibitors,
Please find attached your invitation to submit your picture to the 2009 Pure Glasgow Calendar in association with The Gallery @ Mussel Inn. We are planning to produce a 30X30cm wall calendar and a First Anniversary Exhibition in January 2009 and hope you are interested in taking part.
Including the 18 members of ‘13’ and the 30+ members of ‘The Scottish Photographic Circle’, we are too many to all get our own page in the calendar, so it will have to be an open competition - judged by a panel of professionals. (Details about these individuals will be released by the end of August.)
What does ‘Pure Glasgow’ mean to you?
The main criteria for selection is how ‘Pure’ (Glasgow) the images are. The picture does not need to represent the actual month of your exhibition.
The images need to complement each other and look good in the context of a publication of 12 themed images (and a cover). They also need to be suitable for reproduction and general publication. The panel and the art director reserve the right to make the decision of the final images included. Selection will take place during the two last weeks of August. The photographer will retain copyright and the profits on the sales will be split equally between the contributors.
Feel free to submit up to 3 pictures each. (Small file size is all we need at this stage - e.g. 10X10cm at 300dpi). Initial submission should be by e-mail to this address, or to gallery@intermediascotland.com Deadline is 18 August 2008.
